IT’S A PLEASURE 17:05 – 17:12

It’s A Pleasure                     World Premiere                 Director’s Choice

Dir Elizabeth Szekeresh

U S A, Burbank, CA

00hr : 07 min : 30 sec

SF This film came into RHIFF with 4 other films from a female filmmaking group called Belladonna films. Originally, I passed on this film. Then I screened it again. I gave it a slot in RHIFFs Venue Programs. But, It’s A Pleasure has stuck to me like, uh, glue, due to Corina Mora’s Latina-lonely-geek-girl character Ann. I am happy to say, we found a spot in the RHIFF Main Program for this tiny pearl. Premise: Ann moves in with a Dragon Lady of a roommate who cares more about grooming herself than welcoming Ann. No matter what the circumstances - a self-absorbed roommate or a jerk of a landlord - Ann learns about the greatest love of all. Corina Mora is geeky, funny and sexy in a Ricki Lake/ America Ferrara creamy gooey kind of way….
