we prefer your film to be a Premiere (of some
kind) it is
not an absolute condition.

audience gets a VOTE! This is what makes the
outcome of the RHIFF
Virtual Awards awards fun and
often very surprising. Regardless of category, films judged
by the RHIFF festival audience will
be tallyed along with RHIFF programmers and judges
scores and the winner will be awarded with the top
prize of approximately $2000 in Goods & Prizes

will be awarded a non

- Films will be judged by a panel of top name achievers in
film & arts related desciplines.
- In the event of a TIE, the prize will be split equally
among the winners

Films under 4 Minutes are non-cash 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place awards. However, they are still in consideration
for RHIFF Best of the Fest, Best Sound, Best Editing

Screenplay Competition Feature
Film - Narrative
(Any Genre: Drama, Comedy,
Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Film Noir, etc)
This competition is open to screenplay writers of ALL
levels.
This competition is open to scripts of ALL genres.
Your script must be a "Feature Film" script.
Script length MUST be between 90 pages-120 pages. Sorry-
NO exceptions-
Please use 'WARNER BROTHERS' style set up in your
Final Draft or script writing software. If
not using software, please format your script using
the PDF guideline for
script formatting supplied by Joe Mefford, president
of ScreenStyle.com
Top 3 winners will get a full script read with critique
in front of a live film festival audience. 2nd & 3rd
place winners will earn a One-on-One with a top script
doctor in Toronto- Winning script will receive an award,
goods & services and representation by a respected

Open to all Narrative Films 80 minutes and over in
length. This category is open to directors of all levels.
Films in a language other than English must be subtitled.
If your film is in French or Spanish you do not have
to subtitle if you haven't done so already for other
markets.

Feature Film - Documentary
Open to all Documentary Films over 80 minutes and
over in length. This category is open to directors
of all levels. Films in a language other than English
