Bill, a recent widower, decides that getting a robot may be the solution to his crippling loneliness. The top-of-the-line Class 07-FX12 robot arrives with the prime target of making its owner happy. When the robot begins to learn the meaning of the word ‘love’, he believes he has the answer to his owner’s woes. The interaction between Bill, his robot and a TV soap opera produce an unexpected and tragic end .
