Hello ReelHeART Supporters

ReelHeART 2009 has closed for another season. We have some very, very high notes.

Our Opening Party was a complete blast and really set off the whole week.

Many of our volunteers and staff have taken a well-deserved long weekend in conjunction with Canada Day

We will endeavor to still publish the complete list of winners in our Virtual Award Ceremony on/or before the weekend. Here’s what it looked like in 2008.

At our closing party we were able to hand out runaway winners that were nominated in various categories.

As well, a good number of films (docs, features, shorts) have distribution interest and we will update you on that probably at our website. As well, one of our screenplay Top 3 winners received representation.

We have a new committee that takes the reins officially July 01, 2009 and they have exciting plans for 2010.

We’ve got so many great films this year that we felt compelled to launch a NEW category of competition for 2009.

We have introduced an award for “Best Cinematography“.

ReelHeART Poster 2009

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted so we thought we’d pop in on this Canadian Long Weekend and wish everyone well.

There’s only 37 days to go until the Opening Day of ReelHeART 2009 and we’re all pretty excited around here.

The selection of films couldn’t be more diverse, engaging, emotionally disturbing, arresting, breath taking and even laugh-out-loud hilarious.

On May 1st, after publishing the ReelHeART Online Program, we got our first ticket sale on the same day. A VIP All Access RHIFFBand for the week! That purchase came from an audience member who went to ReelHeART for their first time in 2008 and loved it.
