The Inauguration of Barack Obama

Over 200,000 people made their way through the D.C. subway before 7AM, this morning. School children rang in the NYSE Opening Bell from the steps of Federal Hall – the location of America’s very first Inauguration.
The Bible used by Abraham Lincoln will serve to commemorate today’s historic event.
Thousands of charter buses from across the country arrived in the District of Columbia since the weekend, packing parking lots and streets that closed Monday night to accommodate the surge of overnight visitors to the Capitol.
It’s incredible isn’t it? I watched Muhammad Ali being seated in Washington earlier this morning in front of the Capitol, knowing he was one of the engineers of how much this Obama moment in history means…it’s just incredible.
Barack Obama finished his 10 AM coffee meeting with the outgoing president who’s receiving boos and jeers from the throng of people while the VIP guests are continuing to be seated in front of the Capitol. Dick Cheney, poetically powerless arrives in a wheelchair.
A somber looking Bill Clinton, Jimmy and Roselyn Carter among the many politicos and celebrated guests have already arrived. Jimmy snubbing Bill.
An estimated crowd of 1-2 million people from all over the world, from all walks of life gather today in one spot for one incredible man; who has won the hearts and holds the hopes of many in what we all believe are his very capable hands.
We’re less than an hour away from CHANGE…are you ready my Brothers and Sisters…?
